❤️ Happy Father's Day, Toby! ❤️

Toby is just the best father. He knows how to get into the kids' worlds, no matter what they are. He loves hanging out with them and listening to their stories and taking them places. I have often marveled at how good he is with them. He's the perfect husband and father and together we are raising three beautiful children.

I'm really not a very good photographer.
I didn't even notice that his eyes were closed.
But I think you get the idea. He is the best Dad ever.

We had a very low key weekend and Sunday. We had our big celebratory meal last night at Wildwood. They have a number of gluten free offerings and some really great drinks. Toby loves the Smoked Old Fashioned. I love the Lemon Drop.

This morning we attended Divine Liturgy - it's Pentecost for those of us on the "old calendar." It was a beautiful service, but longer than usual, as we said Kneeling Vespers right after. (I might write a post about this tomorrow. Father Seraphim, our ArchPriest, wrote a very nice meditation on it that I'd like to just have here, if for no other purpose than to archive it for future reference.)

We came home and had lunch here rather than stay for Trapeza today. We had more Shrimp Salad that was no longer fast friendly because I added bacon to it. Then, to celebrate him even more, I made a homemade Cherry-Blueberry Pie.

This is my homemade gluten free pie crust.
It is very functional and multipurpose.

Served with whipped cream.

We had another Sunday of rainstorms and we took a nap. Afterwards, we had our pie and watched Goosbumps 2 at Anthony's request for a Family Movie Night.

Happy Father's Day to all the really great fathers out there! I hope you had a lovely, peaceful, restful day.

Thanks for reading!
