A Walk at the Wylie Public Library

Toby often works afternoons from the Wylie Public Library. Sometimes I join him. It's a neat  Municipal Complex that includes city offices, the police department, a public exercise area (like a Y), and trails outside to walk and bike on. The trails are actually called, The Municipal Complex Trail. On the second day of November, we headed around it.

This creek is often dry. The recent rains made for a nice sight and sound - almost like a mountain stream.

Sunlight through trees never gets old.

There's a field in the center of the main trail. I liked the golden brown against the blue horizon. In the distance, there is a stark white steeple. It was very pretty.

There was an abundance of bugs this day, including a good many grasshoppers.

On the other end of the trail is this artwork. For a while we thought this was supposed to be flames. Actually, it's representative of Wylie's past and roots and it's future blades of grass growing.

This is a different creek or branch of it. It seems to run more consistently and is deeper than the rocky one.

That's the library in the distance.

Checkout the color on this grasshopper! Literally spring green and brown. He was very differently colored than those on the other part of the trail. He was also more than willing to pose.

Armadillo in the daylight. I really thought they were more nocturnal.

And, that was our second walk in a row in November.

Thanks for reading!
